Terms of Use
1. What Cloakshot is
Cloakshot is a browser extension that helps you take screenshots with sensitive information covered. It is provided by Principia (Biro Principia), Brazil ("we"). By installing or using it you agree to these terms.
2. Free and Pro
The free version may be used without charge, with the limits shown in the extension. Pro is a one-time purchase that unlocks additional features for the major version you bought (1.x), on up to the number of browsers stated for your plan (3 for Personal, 10 for Team). Team licenses are for use within one organization. Licenses are non-transferable and may not be resold or shared publicly.
3. Purchases and refunds
Purchases are processed by our payment provider as merchant of record, under its own terms. You may request a full refund within 14 days of purchase for any reason by replying to your receipt email. After a refund, the license key is disabled.
4. No guarantee of complete redaction
Automatic detection is based on patterns and heuristics. It will miss some sensitive data and may cover some harmless data. You are responsible for reviewing every image before sharing it, and for complying with the laws and policies that apply to the data you handle. Cloakshot is a tool that helps you redact; it is not a substitute for your judgment.
5. Acceptable use
Do not use Cloakshot to interfere with websites, to circumvent their security, or in any way that is unlawful. Do not attempt to bypass the license check or redistribute modified versions.
6. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
Cloakshot is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from data that was not redacted. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for Pro in the 12 months before the claim.
7. Changes
We may update these terms; the current version is always at this address. Continued use after a change means you accept it.
